The Attorney General of Ghana has nominated the Chairman of the Electronic Communications Tribunal, Kissi Agyabeng as the next Ghana’s Special Prosecutor.
Mr. Kissi Agyabeng will replace Matin Amidu if vetted and approved by the Parliament if Ghana.
He will be the next to carry the Special Prosecutor mantle after Martin Amidu who suddenly resigned on November 15, 2021.
In reference to a letter to the Presidency, Godfred Odame, the Attorney General confessed that he was comfortable that Mr. Kissi Agyabeng posseses the qualities and requisite for the position in regards to Special Prosecutor 2017 Act (959)
Hislordship Kissi Agyabeng is a product from the University of Ghana. He holds a Bachelor of law (LLB) and a Master of Laws (LLM) from Schullich School of Law, Dalhousie University and Cornel Law School, USA.
He has also been teaching Criminal Law in the University of Ghana since 2016, aside practicing private law.
