Seven arrested for killing a 12-year old boy at Nornyikpo – Volta Region.
Seven persons have been arrested by the Kpetoe District Police following a recent abduction and subsequent killing of a 12-year old boy.
This seven persons who were reported by the Kpetoe District Police as suspects concerning the death of Cornelius Negble, a 12 year old boy at Nornyikpo, a farming community in Agotime -Ziope District of the Volta Region.
As monitored by elohaionline.com, the names and ages of the seven suspects were given by the Kpetoe District Police as Ando Kofi – 30, Anani Koko – 23, Senanu Ashitor Astikpo – 28, Ando Kofi – 30, Fianyo Sandema – 39 and Kudzo Akpatsu – 49.
Speaking with the media, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCOP) Mr. Edward Oduro Kwateng in a briefing to the media, explained that, one Mary Ameworno reported to the police at Kpetoe that her grandson had gone missing on May 22, 2021 at about 0700 hours.
He explained further that, the Assembly member for Atsrulume Electoral area with the help of five others made them successful in arresting Atikpo Ashitor one of the suspect through whom the rest of all the suspects got arrested.
DCOP Oduro Kwateng said the the body of the 12 – year old boy who was killed by these seven guys was put in a sack and buried in a room.
According to sources, the seven suspects killed the 12-year old boy for ritual purposes at a shrine at Nudowukorpe, near Tadzewu.
After the body of the deceased was found, the Environmental Health Officers conducted inspection on the body and it was noticed that, the intestines, kidney, penis and heart of the deceased have been removed.
Currently speaking, the body of the deceased has been deposited at in the morgue at the Police Hospital in Accra for preservation and autopsy.
