Chiefs In Sawla Praises Prez. Akuffo Addo For First Female DCE Nominee.

Chiefs in Sawla has praised Prez.  Akufo-Addo as the first female DCE nominee. If confirmed on September 24, 2021, Barkisu Losina will become the first female DCE in Sawla-Tuna-Kalba.

The Chief and people of the Sawla traditional area in Sawla-Tuna-Kalba. In appreciation to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s appointment of  Barkisu Losina as the first female chief executive of the Sawla District Council, the Chiefs of Sawla has applauded him.

According to them, the nominee has been committed to the development of the area for many years, so her appointment is the best for Sawla-Tuna-Kalba.

Her admission was a triumphant race, characterized by young, older, men, women and children all playing drums, dancing and demonstrating their motorcycle riding skills.
Her first port of call was Sawlawura Abdulai Idrissu Nubasso, the highest chief’s palace in the traditional district of Sawla.
The chief, the founder of the king, and the clergy were already seated awaiting her arrival. In his welcome speech, Sawlawura thanked President Akufo-Addo and his government for choosing a woman to serve as the region’s first chief executive. He promised to unswervingly support and the residents of the nominee.
“My daughter, we want the world to know that we are not only proud and happy for your appointment, but also willing to work with you for the development of the region.”
He added that,  “I don’t know how to express but you The successful entry shows that we have accepted the president’s choice. Speaking of their concerns and priorities, he said that he would like to see DCE as the commissioning of the Sawla Government Hospital and the construction of an ambulance office.

An overjoyed Barkisu Losina thanked the chiefs and people of Sawla for their warm reception.

She promised to work in consultation with all relevant stakeholders to drive home development.

“I am happy with this overwhelming support and acceptance. We still have the confirmation ahead and I wish to appeal to all Assembly members in this District to confirm me for the accelerated development of the District.”

She used the opportunity to call on her contenders and stakeholders to support her.

Seidu Banasco, the 2020 parliamentary candidate of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba constituency, called on parliament members to ensure 100% confirmation of nominees.
I am very happy and hope to call on members of the council to give her a one – click confirmation. I strongly support her,” he said. The Sawla-Tuna-Kalba district was separated from the Bole district in 2004. Barkisu Losina was the first woman nominated for a senior position.
