The Ghana Police Service is in a deep grieve as they mourn one of their young officers, Constable Ernest Dwamena Newton who met his untimely death on Wednesday, September 29, 2021.
The late Constable Ernest Dwamena Newton met his sadden death when he was knocked down by a truck on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 as he was working at his duty post.
The late constable worked as a Police Officer at the Regional Operations Department of the Savannah Regional Police Command.
According to reports, A heavy duty truck driver lost control of his vehicle and crashed into him, sending him to his grave on the spot. It was so sad for his family members to realize that Constable Ernest could not return home as he promised or has been doing usually.
The Savannah Regional Police Command led by DCOP Ebenezer Larbi has visited the family of the late Ernest Dwamena at Kintampo in the Bono East Region to commiserate with them.
The Ag. Inspector General of Police, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, also reached out to his parents via a phone call and extended the condolences of the Police Administration to them.
Further investigations concerning this sadden incidence is still going on in order to bring every pepetrator to book.
